After two rounds of intense competition, South Korea’s Tom Kim maintains his lead at the 2024 Travelers Championship. Completing the second day with a bogey-free 65, Kim has set the pace for the tournament with a score of 13-under-par 127.

Contenders Close Behind

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, celebrating his 28th birthday on the course, trails Kim by two strokes, tied with Collin Morikawa and Akshay Bhatia at 129. Xander Schauffele, the reigning PGA Champion, is just one shot further back, holding the fifth position with a score of 130.

Day 2 Highlights

Kim carded five birdies on Friday, including a 14-foot putt at the eighth hole. Scheffler had a strong finish, sinking a birdie putt from under eight feet on the 18th hole. Morikawa made his move earlier, birdying six of the first nine holes. Schauffele added another 65 to his opening round, while Robert MacIntyre set a PGA career-low with an eight-under-par 62, placing him in contention at 132.

The third round will commence on Saturday, with play beginning at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Kim and his fellow leaders will tee off around 1:50 p.m., setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the Travelers Championship.
